
Do you need a few simple actions to fill your day with peace? I certainly do. Daily peace is like that elusive goal that we all wish for, but how do we make it materialize? I love the concept of a few habits, easy to work into my routine, entirely wholesome for body and soul, and nurturing to those around me. The busy flashes of time, like this summer which is now slipping through my fingers as autumn becomes more apparent in those crisp breezes, are full of life and full of action, but in the midst of it I can feel a little lost. We can all become a little lost, as demands increase and spare time disappears. It is possible to take just a few minutes of each day and refresh the soul. Here are just a few ideas to use as your springboard in developing habits which promote daily peace in your life. Ten simple actions for daily peace: Pray in the morning. Even if nothing else on that long and hefty To-Do List is done in the morning, this one will change your day for the better. It always greatly affects our day when I can make a few moments in the morning to center, be thankful for this new day, and pray for help with what I need to do during this day. Have a look on my Resources page for beautiful prayers and meditations. Connect with loved ones. Take an intentional moment to connect with each person who is important in your life. Read your little one a story. Call your mother. Hold your husband’s hand and tell him something that will make him happy. These small moments of giving just renew our spirit and expand our hearts. And if those around us are happy, we tend to feel happy. The spark of joy is passed on and we have done another valuable action, which fulfills our inmost yearning for meaning in our lives. Admire the beauty around you. Even when my world feels tumultuous and out of control, if I can find and connect with beauty in something small, near to me, I feel grounded.
